The Trivandrum to Kovalam Route
Kovalam sits just about 16 km south of the city, a short coastal hop of roughly 40 minutes via NH66 and the Kovalam road through Vellayambalam and Vizhinjam. We pick up wherever your group lands — the arrivals kerb at Trivandrum International Airport (Shanghumughom), Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station, or any city hotel — and run straight down to the beach. On arrival there are three crescents to choose from: Lighthouse Beach with its red-and-white Vizhinjam lighthouse, the quieter Hawa Beach next door, and Samudra Beach at the northern end, each with its own cluster of resorts.
