Cab Service in Kerala: Local, Outstation and Airport Taxis
Avancer Travel Solution runs cab and taxi service across Kerala, from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, for local hire, outstation trips, airport transfers and corporate travel. We have operated from Kakkanad, Kochi since 2012, with sedans, Ertigas and Innova Crystas driven by verified, full time drivers and backed by a 24/7 control room.
Kerala is a long, narrow state where a single trip can move from city traffic to backwater roads to hairpin bends in a few hours. A cab that works well for a Kochi office run is not always the right choice for a Munnar climb, and fares that look similar on paper can differ once tolls, waiting time and driver allowance are added. This page brings together everything we offer across the state, explains how fares are worked out, and points you to the right service for your trip.
Where We Run Cabs in Kerala
Our base is in Kochi, and we run regular local and outstation service from every major town. Each city page has local pickup points, popular routes and details specific to that area.
For point to point rides within the city, airport runs and tourist hops in Kochi, see our taxi service in Kochi.
Airport Taxis at All Three Kerala Airports
We track your flight, adjust the pickup if it lands early or late, and the driver waits at arrivals. Book a return drop at the same time and you deal with one driver and one bill.
- Cochin International Airport (COK), Nedumbassery: about 30 km from central Kochi. Kochi airport taxi
- Trivandrum International Airport (TRV): close to the city, with Kovalam and Varkala within easy reach. Trivandrum airport transfer
- Calicut International Airport (CCJ), Karipur: about 28 km from Kozhikode city. Calicut airport taxi
Arriving by train or cruise ship instead? We also cover Ernakulam railway station pickups and the Kochi cruise terminal.
Popular Outstation Routes From Kochi
Drive times below are what our drivers see on normal days. Allow more in monsoon, on weekends and during festival season.
Planning several of these in one trip? Our outstation cab service keeps the same car and driver for the whole journey, and the tourist taxi service covers full sightseeing circuits.
Choose the Cab Service That Fits Your Trip
- Local hire by the hour: a car and driver for meetings, shopping or a day of errands in one city, billed by time and distance.
- Outstation and multi day trips: the same driver stays with you, and the quote covers the full itinerary.
- Corporate and employee transport: shift pickups, executive travel and monthly billing through our corporate cab service, including night shift cabs.
- Monthly car with driver: a dedicated vehicle for families, NRIs on long visits and businesses. See monthly car rental.
- Chauffeur driven premium cars: for business guests, weddings and special occasions. See chauffeur driven car rental.
- Electric cabs in Kochi: quiet, zero tailpipe rides for airport and city trips. See electric taxi in Kochi.
Which Car Do You Need?
On ghat routes such as Munnar, Thekkady and Wayanad we usually suggest the Innova Crysta: it has more ground clearance, carries luggage without a roof rack and is more comfortable on long climbs. Travelling as a bigger group? See Urbania vans or tourist buses.
How Cab Fares Work in Kerala
Cab fares in Kerala are normally worked out in one of two ways, and knowing which one you are quoted makes it easy to compare.
- Per kilometre: common for outstation trips. The rate depends on the vehicle, and multi day trips usually carry a daily driver allowance.
- Package or fixed fare: common for airport transfers, fixed routes and local hire by hours and kilometres.
Before you compare quotes, check what is included: driver allowance, tolls, parking, interstate permit for trips into Tamil Nadu or Karnataka, and night driving. Our quotes list these up front, so the number you agree is the number you pay. For vehicle wise guidance and sample routes, see tourist taxi rates in Kerala.
What Affects a Road Trip in Kerala
These are the things our drivers plan around every week. They are worth knowing before you set your schedule.
- Ghat roads: the climbs to Munnar, Thekkady and Wayanad (through the Thamarassery ghat) are slow and winding. Average speeds drop sharply, so a 130 km trip can take over four hours.
- Monsoon: from June to August heavy rain slows traffic and occasionally closes hill roads after landslides. We check road status before hill trips in this season.
- NH66 widening: work on the coastal highway is still under way in stretches, so diversions and slow sections can add time between Kochi, Alleppey and Thiruvananthapuram.
- Festival and pilgrimage peaks: Onam, Christmas and New Year, and the Sabarimala season from November to January bring heavy traffic and early bookings. Reserve cabs well ahead for these dates.
