Outstation Cab Service Across Kerala — Reliable, Comfortable, Door-to-Door
An outstation cab in Kerala is a chauffeur-driven sedan, SUV, or tempo traveller booked for inter-city trips — one-way drops or round trips — with fares charged by kilometres and trip type. Avancer Travel Solution runs door-to-door routes like Kochi–Munnar and Kochi–Wayanad with route-familiar drivers since 2012.
Kerala may only stretch about 560 kilometres from Kasaragod to Thiruvananthapuram, but the distances between its destinations can feel longer than the map suggests. Winding ghat roads to Munnar, the coastal stretch of NH66 down to Kovalam, and narrow routes through spice country toward Thekkady all demand more than just a vehicle — they demand a driver who knows these roads well. Since 2012, Avancer Travel Solution has been running outstation cabs across every major route in the state. Whether you need a one-way drop from Kochi to Munnar or a multi-day round trip covering the backwaters and the hills, we handle the logistics so you can focus on the journey. Starting from the city? See our cab service in Kochi for local and outstation hires.
Popular Outstation Routes We Cover
Kerala's geography packs an extraordinary range of landscapes into a compact state. Our outstation cab service connects all of them.
Kochi to Munnar (Approx. 130 km | 4–4.5 hours)
One of the most requested routes in our fleet. The drive takes you from sea level in Kochi through Kothamangalam and Adimali, climbing steadily through cardamom and tea country. The road narrows considerably after Adimali, with hairpin bends and occasional fog — especially during monsoon months. Our drivers run this route regularly and know when to expect slower sections and truck traffic near Neriamangalam.
Kochi to Thekkady (Approx. 145 km | 4–5 hours)
The route to Periyar passes through Thodupuzha and Kattappana, with the final stretch winding through spice plantations. This is not a highway drive — it is a gradual climb through some of Kerala's most scenic rural stretches. We recommend starting early, particularly if you plan to catch the afternoon boat safari at Periyar Lake.
Kochi to Alleppey (Approx. 55 km | 1.5 hours)
A shorter ride along the NH66, mostly flat and straightforward. Many of our clients book this for houseboat trip connections, and we coordinate drop-off timing with houseboat operators when possible.
Kochi to Wayanad (Approx. 260 km | 5.5–6 hours)
This longer route goes north through Kozhikode before climbing the Thamarassery ghat. The ghat section has nine hairpin curves that are famous in their own right. It is a beautiful drive, but it takes time, and we strongly suggest breaking it up if you are travelling with children or elderly family members.
Trivandrum to Kovalam / Varkala
Short hops from the capital — Kovalam is just about 16 km and Varkala around 50 km. Ideal as airport transfers or day-trip connections. We cover these frequently, including early morning airport pickups.
What Our Outstation Service Includes
- Door-to-door pickup and drop — we come to your hotel, home, or any address in Kerala
- Experienced, route-familiar drivers — not GPS-dependent; they have actually driven these roads hundreds of times
- Well-maintained sedans and SUVs — Dzire, Ertiga, Innova Crysta, Innova HyCross, and Tempo Travellers for larger groups
- Transparent billing — rates are based on kilometres and trip type (one-way or round trip), shared upfront before you confirm. See our tourist taxi rates guide for an overview of pricing.
- Flexibility for stops — need to pause at Cheeyappara Waterfalls on the way to Munnar, or grab lunch at Thodupuzha? No problem. Our itineraries are not rigid.
One-Way Drops vs. Round Trips
We offer both, and the right choice depends on your travel plan.
One-way drops work best when your itinerary moves forward — for example, flying into Kochi, spending time in Munnar, and then heading to Thekkady before exiting through Madurai. No need to pay return charges for a car you will not need going back.
Round trips make sense when you are based out of one city (say Kochi) and want to explore a destination like Athirappilly or Kumarakom for the day and return the same evening.
We will always recommend the more economical option based on your plan. Just tell us where you need to go.
Terrain and Conditions — What to Expect
Kerala is not a single-terrain state, and outstation travel here reflects that.
- Coastal routes (NH66): Largely flat and well-maintained, but heavy traffic near towns like Alappuzha, Thrissur, and Kozhikode. Expect slowdowns, not highways speeds.
- Hill routes (Munnar, Wayanad, Vagamon): Narrow, winding, steep in places. Fog and rain can reduce visibility, especially between June and September. Our drivers are trained for these conditions and will adjust speed accordingly.
- Backwater and rural routes (Kumarakom, Marari): Narrow village roads, sometimes single-lane. Patience is a requirement, and local route knowledge is an advantage.
